Ok ya’ll, I’m working on becoming a better cook (not a chef, bc that will NEVER happen) My goal is to make yummy meals for Jason, me and the baby at least 3 times a week (you have to start somewhere!!)
Here’s something pretty easy/fast that I really enjoyed making, and we both enjoyed eating.
KEREN COPIES THE KFC BOWL
- INGREDIENTS
- Mashed potatoes (instant or home mashed) – however many you would make for your family, I make 2-4
- Canned yellow sweet corn – however many cans will feed your family, I just use 1
- 1 can cream o chicken
- 1 can cream o mushroom
- 1/2 can water
- frozen chicken tenders/fingers
- shredded cheddar cheese
- INSTRUCTIONS
- Make potatoes according to the package – or mash them as you normally would - either way season with seasoned salt, pepper, poultry seasoning, and butter
- Drain corn of almost all water and put in pan, flavor with seasoned salt, pepper, poultry seasoning and butter. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, then put on low heat.
- Cook chicken according to the package
- Combine cream o chicken soup, cream o mushroom soup, and half can water. In a separate bowl, mix those 3 ingredients until smooth. Season with seasoned salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning. Place in a frying pan and mix well on med. heat, then set aside.
- Cut up chicken in bite-size portions once it’s done cooking in the oven
- ASSEMBLY
- Grab enough bowls for the family
- On the bottom put a generous helping of mashed potatoes
- Then corn
- Then chicken
- Then gravy (cream o chicken/mushroom mixture)
- Top it all off with cheese
VOILA!! A yummy meal that is 1.cheap 2.quick 3.filling 4. did I mention YUMMY!!
